Ian has 20 years experience working in supply chain and manufacturing roles within the FMCG sector. Focusing on the food and beverage industries Ian has worked for many of the major UK food producers operating in JIT environments and delivering exceptional levels of customer service. He founded and runs TLA Associates a Management Consultancy specialising in the UK and European Food Industry. The business focuses on evaluating business and operational strategy helping to bring about sustainable long term improvement based on the optimisation of both people and technology.

Comments:

Ian balances his career as a Management Consultant with work as an academic. He teaches management theory and practice to Masters and Doctoral students for a number of business schools and is a member of staff at the University of Bradford. His research interests are varied. They include: the role of ICT within Supply Chains, Capacity Modeling, Statistical Process Control, Product Innovation and Virtual Manufacturing.
