Career Background:
Geraldine spent her early career in Banking and Finance
before being headhunted by an Interior Fit Out Group of
companies. In a career that spanned 16 years with the
Group Geraldine worked as Financial Controller and
quickly gained a reputation for delivering accurate
profit forecasts in a difficult to predict environment.
She formed a strong finance team who focused on adding
value and being a service to the business (long before
it became fashionable). The successful implementation of
the company business system and the setting up of a flat
site award-winning factory meant her transfer into
operations was inevitable! In 1997 Geraldine became MD
of two of the companies loss making companies. The
companies delivered products and services to high street
banks and major food retailers. The companies were
quickly turned into profitable, customer-focused
entities and Geraldine was asked to also lead the
joinery factory that at the time was “bleeding money”
and nobody knew why. Following another successful
turnaround Geraldine was asked to bring the then 8 Group
companies with their different cultures and styles into
one cohesive entity. Geraldine led the business
increasing repeat business sales from blue chip
customers and becoming the number one profit maker in
the industry sector. The business was transformed from a
one off craft approach with a blame culture to a repeat
business and a culture of accountability and became a
“premier league” player.

am equally at home in the boardroom or on the shopfloor and
